In the fast expanding world of chiropractic marketing and consulting, chiropractors looking for a results-driven coach should definitely do their due diligence before jumping the gun. It's unfortunate, but many get locked into long-term commitments that only benefit the chiropractic marketing consultant. This, in my opinion has to stop! Here are some important things to look for when selecting a practice management coach online or offline in 2009.

First, find a chiropractic marketing consultant whose ego doesn't need to be stroked constantly. This can be easier said than done, trust me. However, if you look deep enough, you'll be able to filter through the BS down to who's the real deal and who's just inflating social proof. When I was on my quest originally, I found many "gurus" talked a big game, were super pretentious, and consistently released marketing material that only spoke about how great they were. This, in turn, translated into a lack of transparency and more hype for the average chiropractor searching for a legit company.

Next, find a chiropractic marketing consultant that has a track record of working together with other leaders in the profession. Typically, the consultants with the largest egos are usually the most competitive and operate from a scarcity mentality, meaning these guys think they're too great to collaborate with other marketing groups. This mindset appears to be prevalent in the chiropractic profession unlike many other industries.

For example, if you study internet marketing, you'll notice that the guys with the big lists at the top of the food chain are always helping each other with joint ventures. This is true even though they have similar products and by many standards are "competing" for the same pool of customers.

Third, go with a chiropractic consulting group that's looking out for YOUR best interest. Don't rush into any decision and don't feel like you have to choose today. It's ok to take a few days to weeks to do your homework before investing several hundred to several thousand dollars per month. Talk to friends, as word travels fast if a doctor is making killer returns from the guidance of a coaching group.

Ask yourself, "Is the management firm you're considering pressuring you for a payment or are they legitimately concerned about taking your chiropractic practice to the next level?" A word of advice.... The minute you sense that your best interest is not at the forefront of their game-plan, run!

I spoke to a consultant one time that said he could barely turn on a computer and sounded proud of this for some odd reason.

Contrary to what some believe, the internet is not a fad. It's the most spectacular medium in world to gather information and marketing your chiropractic office. We live in an information and technological based world and those that resist updating will not be around in a few years for sure.

As touched on before, get involved with a group that let their results do the talking more-so than their mouth. Speak with satisfied and unsatisfied clients. It doesn't matter how good your product or service is, you will always have unsatisfied clients so it's important to get their points of view, too.

Lycopene Antioxidant - The Super Nutrient Not Just for Prostate Health

According to the Linus Pauling Institute Micronutrient Information Center, lycopene antioxidant activity is extremely important to plants, but the importance to human health is still unclear.

Partly because of this, there has been no established lycopene daily requirement.

However, studies have shown that eating foods with lycopene does reduce the risk of some types of cancer and possibly heart disease. Scientists are just not sure if it is the antioxidant activity that provides the benefits or if other mechanisms are involved.

The lycopene antioxidant is described as one of the most active antioxidants of all the carotenoid pigments. It is also the most common carotenoid found in the human body.

Carotenoids are organic chemicals that give plants their colors. Plant foods with lycopene are red, like tomatoes, in fact the name lycopene was derived from the scientific name for tomatoes, which is Solanum lycopersicum.

People cannot create carotenoids, they must obtain them from food, but since the importance to human health is not completely understood, there is no “RDA” or “RDI” for a person’s lycopene daily requirement.

Daily requirements for vitamins and minerals are either based on the amount necessary to prevent vitamin deficiency diseases or the average amount in the daily dietary intake of studied populations.

For example, vitamin C deficiency leads to scurvy, which is characterized by liver spots on the skin, spongy gums and bleeding from the nose and other mucous membranes. If the deficiency is not corrected, scurvy will eventually lead to death.

There are no known lycopene antioxidant deficiency diseases.

The reason that it is included in some dietary supplements, however, is because of scientific studies that indicate it may reduce the risk of some life threatening diseases and improve health.

The FDA regulates health claims made by manufacturers of dietary supplements and food stuffs. In 2005, they addressed the issue of a lycopene daily requirement and proposed health claims of foods with lycopene. There conclusion was that the limited scientific evidence suggests that consuming one-half to one cup of tomatoes or tomato sauce per week may reduce the risk of prostrate cancer.

This is equivalent to less than 5 mg of lycopene per week. Other scientific literature states that, in order to be effective, the lycopene daily requirement should be set at 15mg/day.

Although there is little agreement among respected agencies as to the importance of the lycopene antioxidant to human health, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the Institute of Medicine, the National Health Institute and other public health organizations do recognize that antioxidants may protect humans from chronic diseases.

All of these organizations support recommendations for increased consumption of fruits and vegetables rich in carotenoids. As previously mentioned, the lycopene antioxidant is one of the most active carotenoids and the most commonly found in the human body. In order to maintain a healthy supply in the body, it is necessary to consume foods with lycopene.

Other than tomatoes and tomato products, some common foods with lycopene content include watermelon, pink grapefruit, canned baked beans, sweet red peppers, and vegetable juice cocktail.

Concentration of the lycopene antioxidant is highest in tomato paste and sauces prepared with tomatoes and oil. The process of chopping and cooking in oil releases the lycopene antioxidant from the plant fibers and makes it more readily available to the human body.

Your daily diet should consist only of these super healthy foods.

SUPER HEALTHY NUTRITIOUS WHOLE FOODS THAT YOU CAN & SHOULD BE EATING

The USDA reports only 33% of the meat sold in America comes from small family farms. Sadly, we are lied to and allowed to believe a gross misconception to keep us from looking into the dangers behind corporate farms, processed foods and today's red meat.

The study was authored by Marjorie McCullough, senior epidemiologist at the American Cancer Society. If meat is spreading the greatest killer of our time, do you not think it is also silently attacking your interest and appetite for sex?

The Yale Medical Journal published the results of Professor Irving Fisher's experiments comparing the stamina and strength of meat-eaters against vegetarians. Professor Fisher selected men from three groups: meat-eating athletes, vegetarian athletes, and vegetarian sedentary subjects. Fisher's report forcefully debunks the popular miss-notion of meat being a builder of strength.

In his observations Fisher stated, "Of the three groups compared, the...flesh-eaters showed far less endurance than the abstainers (vegetarians), even when the latter were leading a sedentary life." Overall, the average score of the vegetarians was over double the average score of the meat-eaters, even though half of the vegetarians were sedentary people, while all of the meat-eaters tested were athletes. Fisher concluded, "...the difference in endurance between the flesh-eaters and the abstainers (was due) entirely to the difference in their diet.... There is strong evidence that a non-flesh diet is conducive to endurance."

A study by Dr. J. Ioteyko of the Academie de Medicine of Paris compared the endurance of vegetarian and meat-eaters in a variety of tests. The vegetarians averaged 200%-300% greater stamina over the meat-eaters. Additionally the vegetarian group took one-fifth the time to bounce back from exhaustion and fatigue compared to the meat-eating group.

So not only is meat stealing your sex drive and passion it is also limiting how quickly you recover and are ready for more love making. By mastering your appetite for foods you will dominate your hunger and stamina for sex. At the end it's a simple choice between red meat or red-hot steamy sheets.

A Review of the Super Nintendo Controller

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System was a very impressive gaming platform when it was first introduced to the public and the early 1990s. The first Nintendo Entertainment System was quite an achievement in itself, but when the SNES came out it was really my introduction as to how cool it came they were. The Sega Genesis and the Turbo Grafix 16 were already on the market, so the SNES was a day little late getting to the party and joining other video game consoles, but it was worth the wait. Of the third generation consoles, the SNES was gets my vote as the number one gaming platform and I've had them all. The SNES is the only one of the three I still sometimes play today.

One of my very favorite features about the system was the Super Nintendo controller. The Super Nintendo controller was a breakthrough in many ways. Not only did it have twice as many buttons on the face as the original NES controller, the Super Nintendo also featured in buttons on either shoulder. It's not hard to see where present-day videogame consoles were born Its clear that the Super Nintendo controller set the stage for the future.

The style of the Super Nintendo controller brought options and features to the SNES games that never before would have been possible. One game in particular where it really made the difference was Street Fighter II. Probably one of the most popular SNES games ever produced, and probably one of the most popular console games ever, Street Fighter II probably wouldn't have been as good if it didn't have that awesome controller. Every button was not only used but necessary, and the very arrangement of the Super Nintendo controller was intregal for playing the game. The folks at Sega didn't pick up on this right away, and came out with their own knock off version of Super Nintendo controller for their Genesis, but it didn't have those cool shoulder buttons, and wasn't anywhere near as comfortable to use either.

Looking at current game controllers, there really hasn't been that much of a change. Today they have redesigned hand grips that allow for trigger buttons as well as shoulder buttons, but the actually face of the controllers look very much like the original Super Nintendo controllers. Some manufacturers, like Microsoft’s Xbox controller, even have a similar kind of color scheme to the buttons that was found on the old SNES controller. That isn't very surprising actually. There is nothing new about the copying superior products. The Super Nintendo controller is definitely a superior product, and will no doubt be type for game controllers for generations to come.
